Dieter Rams’ ten principles for good design:
1. Good design is innovative.
2. Good design makes a product useful.
3. Good design is aesthetic.
4. Good design makes a product understandable.
5. Good design is unobtrusive.
6. Good design is honest.
7. Good design is long-lasting.
8. Good design is thorough down to the last detail.
9. Good design is environmentally friendly.
10. Good design is as little design as possible.
If you don’t know who Dieter Rams is then go and find out. If you are more familiar with his “unerringly elegant and supremely versatile” work, you’ll know I don’t need to say any more. I’ll just leave you with these.
Now that’s good great design.

hey friend, i have found something new here, it was so very interesting me.. i come to this blog with no idea,
Great list! I had a college professor with a philosophy of why design isn’t art. Design is about communication. form and function on a scale that the majority of people can appreciate. It’s important to keep lists like this as designers to remember why and who we create for.
